Core City Facade Grant
What is it for?
- Improve exteriors of buildings
- Improvements including window, door and roof repair; exterior cleaning; exterior shutters; awnings; gutters; painting; and landscaping
Who is eligible?
- Business must be located within Downtown Overlay District and the Warehouse District
What is the financing structure?
- One-third reimbursement grant for investment up to $75,000. An additional 10% reimbursement for investment over $75,000.
How much can I receive from the City?
- Maximum grant of $32,500 and minimum grant of $500 per individual building within 5 years.
What does the City require?
- Federal prevailing wage
- Improvements must meet Secretary of Interior
- Standards for historic preservation.
What are other benefits?
- Free architectural services available for projects that meet program standards.
Neighborhood Facade Grant
What is it for?
- Improvements including window, door and roof repair; exterior cleaning; exterior shutters; awnings; gutters; painting; and landscaping
Who can apply?
- Businesses that are located within designated and clearly defined older neighborhood business districts within the City of Toledo.
What is the financing structure?
- One-third reimbursement grant for investment up to $75,000. An additional 10% reimbursement investment between $75,000 to$150,000.

- Maximum grant of $32,500 and minimum grant of $500 per individual building within 5 years.
What does the City require?
- Federal prevailing wage
- Improvements meet Secretary of Interior

2% Utility Development Fund
Eligibility?
- Commercial, industrial and residential projects
Requirements?
- Extension of water or sanitary sewer lines (within the public right of way) to qualified properties
- Create and/or retain jobs
