INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NEW SERVICES – OPEN CUT METHOD

1. Piping to remain visible for entire length. Inspector to assure installation is of proper material and to be of proper depth after final landscaping.
2. Services with couplings will require 125 # test drop tight for a period of 15 minutes.
3. Test to be provided by contractor.

REPLACEMENT OF SERVICES

EXCAVATING, AUGURING, BORING OR PULLING METHODS

1. Pipe must be visible, approved marking, at curb stop and meter, #125 # test drop tight for a period of 15 minutes.
2. Replaced services must be a minimum ¾" I.D. soft copper, type K.
3. All new services shall be 1" type K soft copper. (minimum)
4. It will be the responsibility of the installer to prove such installation meets all depth requirements at all points.
5. Repairs to existing services must remain visible to inspector.
6. Services with meter located in Ford meter box or pits, piping for such installation must be requirements of O.B.C. 4101:2-51-35 (BB51-35)
7. All services shall be 4’ deep at all points.
8. A Master Plumber shall obtain proper permits.
