Water Distribution is responsible for the maintenance of the water distribution system, meter reading, meter installations and remote meter installations.
CLIC is the City Line Information Center at (419) 245-1000. Responsible for providing numbers of city offices to citizens, answering questions about city services and dispatching City crews to respond to complaints from citizens.
Water Meter Shop: Provides hydrant meters for use in farm irrigation, for the filling of swimming pools and construction use. Fee schedule and guidelines are available by calling (419) 936-2835 or (419) 936-2836.
Remote Meter/Meter Installations: Are available by calling (419) 245-1800. A no charge installation for senior citizens is also available by calling this number.
Backflow Prevention: The requirement for backflow prevention devices, in addition to the requirement for periodic backflow prevention reviews, is intended to protect the health of water consumers and maintain the integrity of the water distribution system. Water Emergency: Call (419) 242-5040. This is a 24 hour phone line to report water leaks and problems. Water turn off for home owner repairs is available from 7:00 a.m. until 11:00 p.m. seven days a week. Other more severe water related emergencies are handled on a 24 hour basis.
