April 2008

Team Human Resources exemplifies excellence and dedication. Cheryl Kolebuck, Erica Jones, MeryBeth Rork and Ginger Kern are true professionals. Because of their hard work, determination and commitment to the City of Toledo, the Selection and Evaluation Section was able to fill thirty positions in thirty days and administer and analyze the 2008 Fire Fighter Exam. The Selection and Evaluation team processed 2094 applications for the City of Toledo Fire Fighter positions. 1279 of those applicants took the test. The fire recruitment process is lengthy and requires hours of hard work and dedication. It involves accepting applications, admission cards, timely announcements, postings, instructions, preparing test orientation materials, examinations, sign-in books, supplies as well as recruiting and training test monitors. The Selection and Evaluation team accomplished this process while making sure that all other daily workload is also being done. Because of that this team is selected to be the City of Toledo’s Professional of the Month.
Team Human Resources, you serve as a true example of what our City’s workforce should aim for. You are commended for your dedication to your job with the City of Toledo and for recognizing the importance of demonstrating pride and professionalism in the workplace!  Congratulations!
