Message from the Director of the Department of Public Utilities

I am pleased to submit this annual report of the Department of Public Utilities for the year 2006. It shows the continued dedication by the employees of the Department to pursue and implement economies and efficiencies that result in an affordable water and sewer rate structure.

Contained herein are the highlighted activities and accomplishments of the past year for seven divisions within the Department. I am pleased with these accomplishments and want to thank my staff for their hard work and leadership in ensuring our ability to provide our customers with economical, efficient, cost-effective, and environmentally sound public utilities. I also want to express my personal gratitude to you, Mayor Finkbeiner, and the Members of Council for the support that you have given to this Department.
