Water Emergency
Water Distribution's emergency personnel are responsible for manning the 24-hour call center (419) 242-5040 that enables citizens to report problems or water leaks. Water emergency personnel are also responsible for assisting customers with turn-ons or turn-offs for repairs of service. (If your water service has been turned off for non-payment, you must contact Customer Service at 419-245-1800 for reconnection.) Typically we are able to assist between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m. seven days a week. In the event emergency personnel are unable to assist you during these hours, your concern would be handled by the construction crews who work from 7:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Emergency personnel also assist with the general maintenance of the water distribution system when they are not responding to emergency calls.
CLIC Operations
CLIC is the 24-hour City Line Information Center (419) 245-1000. CLIC is responsible for answering citizens questions with regard to city services, phone numbers, and dispatching city crews to problem situations.
