The City of Toledo Division of Solid Waste provides unlimited refuse collection on a regular weekly basis in an effort to make waste and refuse disposal easier for residents, and to make Toledo a cleaner and more attractive city.

Effective May 5, 2008, the City of Toledo will begin the next step in continuing improvements to refuse and recycling collection services provided to residents. Changes will involve adjusting collection routes -- which will affect about 10 percent of residential customers refuse collection days, launching a pilot program to pick up refuse and recyclable materials from residents using automated trucks and change about 15 percent of residential customers A/B recycle collection days.
