This website is created and maintained by the City of Toledo (City) for the benefit of the public. The purpose of the site is to provide an additional venue to the public in providing certain City services in an electronic manner.

Privacy Policy

Information collected from any user of the City’s website or online service shall be unused or disclosed for official purposes only, or to comply with city, state, or federal law. The City will not intentionally disclose any Personally Identifiable Information (“PII”) of its web users to any third-party, unless otherwise required by law.

The City recognizes and respects individuals’ right to web or online privacy, including individuals’ right to privacy under certain state and federal law. The City will use its best efforts to adhere to the mandates of such laws as HIPAA, Social Security Number Privacy Act, National Crime Prevention and Privacy Act, Child Identification and Protection Act, City Income Tax Code, Crime Victims Act, etc. Alternatively, the City also recognizes and respects all state and federal law which may require the City to disclose certain information. They include requests made under the Ohio Public Records laws (Ohio Revised Code Section 149.43), subpoenas, court orders, or any other state or federal law, including for any law enforcement purposes.

Information Collected by the City

As you use the website, the City will be collecting information from you, which may be used for official purposes, including but not limited to statistically measure certain site traffic, improve the website, and enhance its online services capabilities.

  • Complete a request for an online service; or
  • Elect to personalize the site (register for a City account).

Any information submitted online for these activities will be treated as if you had engaged in these activities in person rather than over the internet. The City uses the PII information you voluntarily provide to tailor our site to your needs and preferences, and to provide the online services you are requesting. The type of information we collect from you will vary with the service
being sought. PII may include your home address, telephone number, personal email address, date of birth, social security or a federal identification number (in lieu of a social security number), credit or debit card information, and/or driver’s license number. Unless the circumstance mandate that we disclose such PII under any state or federal law, we will not be disclosing your PII to a third-party.

If you simply wish to review certain pages on the City’s site, or conduct transactions, you do not need to personalize the site by registering for an account.

Some information that you submit to us through this web site may be protected by encryption technology, whereas other information may not. Unless a particular web page on this site indicates that encryption technology is being used, you should not assume information you submit through that web page will be secure. If you submit information to our server through a web page containing visible indications of active encryption technology, we will take reasonable precautions to safeguard the confidentiality of such information. the City shall not be held liable for any injury caused by the disclosure of your information, whether by security breach, accident, inadvertence, or any other act resulting in disclosure.

Engage Toledo Mobile App

The City of Toledo is using SeeClickFix, an online and mobile service request system, to power its mobile app and reporting forms. SeeClickFix is an application that allows Toledo residents to report non-emergency related issues. SeeClickFix can be used via the Web on a desktop computer, laptop, mobile phone, or tablet. SeeClickFix is a public application developed by SeeClickFix and CivicPlus. The description entered will be visible to the public. Your display name will also be visible unless you choose to submit as Anonymous. Your email address will never be displayed publicly.
